Who we are
One building in Maradana, built around your visit
Wellness Medicheck International (Pvt) Ltd is a private medical laboratory and examination centre in Maradana, Colombo 10 — registered with the Private Health Services Regulatory Council of the Ministry of Health, and operated by a company incorporated in Sri Lanka in 2023.
Two kinds of people come through our door. Local patients come for laboratory tests, chest X-rays and channel consultations. Applicants for foreign employment come for the examination their agency or embassy requires — usually with a departure date already booked. The centre is set up to serve both well.
Examination rooms, the laboratory and the X-ray room share one building, so a complete medical is finished in a single visit. One record is opened at registration, and every document we issue is produced from that record — nothing is re-typed, so nothing can disagree with itself.

Our mission
Fast. Accurate. Honest.
A medical report is only worth issuing if it arrives in time, stands up to checking and says what was actually found. Everything about how we work follows from those three demands.
Fast
Samples are processed in-house on the day they are taken, and most reports are ready the next working day. For a patient between a job offer and a flight, speed is not a courtesy — it is the point.
Accurate
Every result is checked against its reference range before the doctor sees it, and out-of-range values are flagged and reviewed. If a result looks wrong, it is repeated — not explained away.
Honest
We certify what we find, and nothing else. A report is never softened for a recruiter or hurried for a deadline. That is precisely why the reports we issue are worth having.
The team
Three professions behind every report
Your examination passes through trained hands at every step — and nothing is released until a doctor has signed it.
Medical officers
Registered medical officers carry out the physical examination, review every laboratory result and X-ray finding together, and certify the final report. No report leaves the centre without a doctor's signature.
Medical laboratory technologists
Qualified MLTs run the haematology, serology and clinical chemistry benches — processing samples the same day and verifying every value before it reaches the doctor.
Nursing staff
Our nursing staff take your vitals, collect blood and urine samples and guide you from station to station, so the visit moves quickly and nothing is missed.
We introduce the team by role rather than by name, because the roster on duty changes. What does not change: a registered medical officer answers for every report we issue.
The facility
The whole examination under one roof
The centre is laid out in the order of your visit, so a full medical — registration, examination, samples and X-ray — is completed in one trip.
Easy to reach
We are in Maradana, Colombo 10 — one of the best-connected parts of the city, with bus and rail links from across the island. Walk in during opening hours, or call ahead to keep your wait short.
Registration & records
Your record is opened at the front desk in minutes and follows you through every station of the visit.
Examination rooms
Private rooms where the medical officer takes your history and performs the physical, vision and systemic examination.
In-house laboratory
Haematology, serology and clinical chemistry are performed on site — samples do not travel, and results do not wait on a courier.
X-ray room
Chest radiography is taken on the premises and reported by a medical officer as part of the same visit.
